Why The United States Government Embraced The Occult - New Republic

Research into psi and remote viewing isn't the occult, Colin Dickey. If Herbert Hoover was raising demons and hexing Kruschev were part of the Pentagon's black budget then you'd be right. Then again you've read Annie Jacobsen's Phenomena and may be confused. Anyway Dickey's review is a bit more celebratory than Robert McLuhan's recent review, both of which are worth reading but what about Annie's book? Mitch Horowitz is far more apt in his review of Steve Bannon And The Occult. The other side of the aisle's maintained a long, strange love affair with mysticism over the decades transcending the mere boy's club of Bohemian Grove. (CS)
